사각형 모양의 일반적인 침대들과는 차원이 다른 이 침대들은 최근 해외 인터넷 사이트를 통해 소개되면서 눈길을 끌고 있다. 직립 침대, 태아 침대 등 '자세 교정형 침대'에서 가장 독특한 종류는 '큰대 자'로 누워 잠을 잘 수 있는 '큰대 자 침대'다. 이 침대에 누우면 등을 바닥에 깔고, 양팔을 머리 위로 드는 큰대 자 자세가 저절로 나온다. 평소 구부정한 사람의 체형을 바로 잡는 데 특효라고 한다.
