japanese architecture team torafu presented 'air vase'. you can freely change its shape by molding it into the form of a small bowl or vase according to one's intended 'usage'. the thin and lightweight paper from which it is made, gives strength and resistance to the bowl.

london-based designers oscar diaz and yuri suzuki have developed the REC & PLAY pen. on magnetic ink lines, the red pen records sound and the black pen plays the recorded sound.

we've spotted the colour chaser at designtide tokyo, where london-based product/sound designer yuri suzuki staged an exhibition. the colour chaser detects and follows the black line whilst it reads the coloured lines and translates the RGB data into sound.

at designtide exhibition in tokyo earlier this month, designboom met yuri suzuki who showed a few recent projects: among them - the barcode book. it tells a story through illustrations made with the parallel lines. sound is played using a barcode reader-speaker.
