nothing design group: tree solar streetlights

nothing design group and asiana airlines have installed 16 solar powered streetlights around angkor wat, cambodia, and are planning to install 5 to 10 additional streetlights a year until 2015. in comparison to typical streetlamps that use incandescent bulbs (150W), the contributed solar-powered streetlights lower the CO2 emissions to 240kg - the equivalent to planting 86 pine trees.

the museum_s inverted 'upside-down' layout will present an upper level of the commercial aspects, complete with a public lobby, caf_, bookshop, and an outdoor, roof-deck sculpture area. it can be accessed by the public through a ten-foot wide external staircase which is shielded from the elements by a transparent screen composed of wooden 'bricks.'

with their vertical format bills, dowling duncan have reignited interest in 'the dollar redesign project'.

'we have kept the width the same as the existing dollars. however we have changed the size of the note so that the one dollar is shorter and the 100 dollar is the longest. when stacked on top of each other it is easy to see how much money you have. it also makes it easier for the visually impaired to distinguish between notes.'
